  13. Get 250 grams marinated tofu or 2 German style sausages (bratwurst)very thinly sliced, or little, mini sausage meatballs

In a large saucepan, saute onions and garlic in butter until tender. Add the tomato juice, bouillon, lemon juice, parsley and brown sugar. Place the roasted tomatoes, onions and garlic in the soup maker, pour in the chicken stock, add the tomato puree, brown sugar and OXO taste pot. Select the smooth setting, once ready season to taste and serve.

  5. Add the passata, tomato puree and chilli flakes , season with salt if needed.
  6. Sauté the tofu or fry the sausages or little mini sausage meatballs in a little oil. If using the sausages slice them very thinly , sprinkle any of them over the soup just before serving. Add some chives for garnish .

Place the roasted tomatoes, onions and garlic in the soup maker, pour in the chicken stock, add the tomato puree, brown sugar and OXO taste pot. Select the smooth setting, once ready season to taste and serve. Onions should caramelize and turn dark brown in color. When the onions are a beautiful golden colour, pour in the stock and tomatoes. Saute onion and garlic until onion is tender.
